Ingredients to Avoid

Tonight were talking about ingredients to avoid. It seems like no big deal, but every little ingredient can make a big difference. Some make more of a difference than others. A few of them seem very obvious but some you would never think of.

Let’s begin with one of the most obvious ones, sugar. Sugar adds up very slowly and you usually don’t notice the difference immediately. If you have the power to cut sugar out of your diet or at the very least minimize it then you can potentially lose a lot of excess weight as well as feel better and healthier. For your coffees and teas you can try to cut the sugar out or even use a sweetener instead. It’s still not the healthiest option but it is better than using sugar. Personally, I like a bit of sugar every now and then but I try to keep it at the bare minimum.

Another ingredient to avoid is salt. It is bad on your cholesterol which can cause you to be unhealthy and potentially be lethal. Everyone likes to add a bit of salt to their fries or salad but it creeps up on you slowly because every bit you put on adds up. Salt can also lead to heart disease which is very serious and harmful to your health. It also leads to high blood pressure and potentially can lead to stroke. The effects salt has on your body makes your heart work much harder.

Any artificial colors should be avoided as well. The main reason is because it has been linked to allergic reactions as well as fatigue. Some other side effects are asthma, skin rashes, hyperactivity, and headaches. These are usually found in foods as well as drinks, and usually where you least expect it. You have to make sure to try to avoid it.

MSG otherwise known as Monosodium Glutamate is very bad and can have many negative effects.  It is usually used in restaurant foods when they want to make the taste better. Some of the foods that it is used in are salad dressings, chips, and soups. It can cause a change in your heart rate and do many negative things.

That covers over some of the main ingredients that you should all try to avoid. A general rule of thumb is if you can't pronounce it then you probably shouldn't be consuming it. This pertains to a lot of luxury food items and drinks. Below is an example of some ingredients, try to pronounce some of them.
